Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 1, 2026
Remi ("Remi", "we", "us" or "our") is a household organizer app published by Darya Batura, Warsaw, Poland.
Remi is built around a simple principle: your Remi data belongs to you. Remi does not need a Remi account, we do not run servers that store your Remi items, and we do not sell your personal information.
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Remi iPhone app and its widget, visit remilife.com, or contact us for support.

Person responsible for privacy: Darya Batura
1. Information you store in Remi
You can use Remi to store information such as:
- titles and categories of items;
- dates, deadlines and repeat schedules;
- payment amounts and currencies;
- places, typed as text (Remi does not use your device location);
- notes;
- household member names and profile types;
- appointments, documents and product expiration dates;
- subscriptions and bills;
- photos, scans and other attachments;
- reminders;
- health or medication items that you choose to enter.
Remi stores this information on your iPhone. Some of it may also sync through your own Apple iCloud account, as described below. We do not receive the contents of your Remi data on any server of ours.
2. iCloud sync
Remi uses Apple's CloudKit service to keep your items in sync across your devices through your own iCloud account.
- Items marked Only Me are stored in the private iCloud database of your Apple Account.
- Items marked Family are stored in an iCloud shared zone, so that the household members you invite can view and edit them.
- Health and Medication items, and their attachments, are never synced to iCloud by Remi and are never shared with household members. They stay on the iPhone where you created them.
If you choose Add to Calendar for an item, a copy of the event goes to Apple's Calendar app and is then handled by Calendar and your own iCloud settings, outside Remi. Remi warns you before doing this for a Health item.
Your use of iCloud is also subject to Apple's terms and privacy practices. Because Remi has no account system of its own, we never see your Apple Account credentials.
3. Health and Medication information
You can create items in the Health and Medication categories, for example doctor appointments, medication reminders, prescription refills, and notes or attachments that you add to them.
Health and Medication items stay on your iPhone. Remi does not:
- send their contents to us;
- sync them to iCloud;
- share them with household members;
- include them in Send a Copy links;
- send them to Open Food Facts;
- use them for advertising or analytics; or
- use Apple HealthKit.
By default, reminders for Health and Medication items show general text on the Lock Screen, such as "Something for your health", instead of the item title. You can change this in Remi's settings.
Information on your device may also be included in device backups, depending on your Apple and device backup settings. Those backups are controlled by you and Apple, not by Remi.
Washington consumer health data privacy notice
This section is provided for people covered by the Washington My Health My Data Act and similar laws.
- What: Remi may process consumer health data that you enter in Health or Medication items, such as appointments, medications, refills, treatments or other health-related notes.
- Source: you, when you enter or attach it in Remi.
- Purpose: only to provide the organizing and reminder features you ask for.
- Storage: these items are processed and stored on your device. We do not run a server that receives them.
- Sharing: we do not sell consumer health data, and Remi does not share Health or Medication item contents with advertisers, data brokers, analytics providers, Open Food Facts, household members or any other third party.
- Your rights: you can view, change and delete these items in Remi at any time, or delete everything in Settings › Privacy & Data › Delete All Data. For questions or requests, write to support@remilife.com.
Nothing in this section limits rights you have under applicable consumer health privacy law.
4. Voice input
If you use Say, Remi asks for access to your microphone. Your speech is turned into text on your iPhone using Apple's on-device speech technology. Remi does not save the audio, and we never receive it. iOS may download speech models to your device as part of the system.
5. Camera, photos and files
If you use Snap, barcode scanning or attachments, Remi uses your camera or the specific photos and files you pick. Text and barcode recognition happen on your device with Apple's technologies. Photos you take with Snap are attached to the item you save; you can turn this off in Settings › Adding › Attach Photos Automatically. Otherwise Remi keeps an image or file only when you attach it. Nothing is uploaded to us. If you choose Save to Photos, iOS asks for permission to add the image to your photo library.
6. Recognition on your device
Remi can read what you say, type or photograph to suggest a title, date, amount, category or product barcode. In this version of Remi, this processing happens on your iPhone using Apple's on-device technologies. Suggestions can be wrong, so Remi lets you review everything before you save it.
7. Product barcode lookup (Open Food Facts)
When you scan a product barcode, Remi can look up the product name online in Open Food Facts, an independent open database. Remi asks for your permission before the first lookup, and you can turn lookups off at any time in Remi's settings.
A lookup sends only the barcode number (such as a UPC or EAN) to Open Food Facts, together with the app's name and support address. Like any internet request, it also exposes ordinary network information such as your IP address. Remi never sends your notes, household names, attachments, Health or Medication items, any advertising identifier or your Remi data. Remi never looks up the barcodes of medicines. Results are stored on your device, so the same barcode is not looked up again.
Open Food Facts handles request information under its own privacy practices. Its product data is available under the Open Database License (ODbL); attribution is shown in Remi under Settings › About.
8. Household sharing
You can share Family items with people you invite to your household through an iCloud share link. Household members can view and edit shared Family items. Only Me items, and all Health and Medication items, are not shared. Send the invitation only to people you want in your household. You can leave a household or remove a member in Remi's settings.
9. Send a Copy
Send a Copy creates a link with a copy of one item, so you can send it to someone else. The link carries only the item's title, category, date and time (with time zone), whether the date is an expiry date, place, your name as set in Remi and, if you choose, its notes. Health and Medication items cannot be sent this way.
The item information sits in the part of the link after the "#" sign. Web browsers do not send that part to the remilife.com server, and the page that opens such a link runs no scripts and stores nothing, so the website never receives the item. You choose the recipient and the app you send the link with.
10. Notifications and widget
Remi schedules reminders on your iPhone through iOS. Depending on your notification settings, a reminder can show an item's title, date or amount on the Lock Screen. Health and Medication reminders show general text by default (see section 3).
The Home Screen widget can show titles, names, dates, categories and amounts. Health and Medication items are always hidden in the widget, and when App Lock is on, the widget hides item details.
Anyone who can see your unlocked Home Screen or your notifications may see what is shown there. You can change notification previews in iOS Settings.
11. Face ID and App Lock
If you turn on App Lock, Remi uses Face ID or your device passcode to unlock the app, hides its content in the app switcher, and asks for Face ID before exporting or deleting all data. Authentication is done by iOS; Remi never receives or stores your face data.
12. Purchases
Remi Plus is bought through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment and keeps your purchase history. Remi only receives what it needs to know whether Remi Plus is active on your device. We receive aggregated sales reports from Apple, which do not include the contents of your Remi items.
13. When you contact us
If you write to support@remilife.com, we receive what you choose to send: your email address, name, message and any attachments. If you write from Contact Support in Remi's settings, the email also includes the Remi and iOS versions, which you can see before sending. Messages to this address are forwarded by Cloudflare's email routing service to a mailbox hosted by Google.
Please do not send health information, passwords or personal documents by email. We use support messages only to answer you, provide support, prevent abuse, meet legal obligations and keep reasonable business records, and we keep them only as long as needed for those purposes.
14. Website
remilife.com is hosted by Cloudflare. To deliver the site, Cloudflare automatically processes ordinary technical information such as your IP address, the time of the request, the page requested, browser and device details and security signals. This is used only for delivery, reliability and security.
The website uses no cookies, analytics or tracking scripts, and it does not receive your Remi data.
15. Advertising, tracking and analytics
This version of Remi contains no advertising SDKs and sends no usage analytics to us. We do not sell personal information, we do not use your Remi content for targeted advertising, and Remi does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, so it does not ask for tracking permission.
If we ever add analytics or change these practices, we will update this Privacy Policy and the App Store privacy details before or when the change takes effect.
16. Children
Remi is made for adults who organize their household. It has no accounts for children and is not directed to children under 13.
An adult can create a household profile for a child and add items about that child. Such profiles contain only what the adult enters, are controlled by the adult, and are never used for advertising or profiling. If you believe a child has sent us personal information directly, contact support@remilife.com.
17. How long data is kept
Remi data on your device stays there until you delete it, delete all Remi data, or remove the app. Data synced through iCloud stays there according to your settings and Apple's processes. We have no server-side copy of your Remi data. Support messages and website logs are kept only as long as reasonably needed for support, security, legal and operational purposes. Apple, Cloudflare, Google and Open Food Facts keep data under their own retention practices.
18. Exporting and deleting your data
Export. Settings › Privacy & Data › Export All Data creates a ZIP file with a spreadsheet of your items, a full data file and your attachments, including Health and Medication items. Once you save or send that file outside Remi, its safety depends on where you put it.
Delete one item. Delete it in the app.
Delete everything. Settings › Privacy & Data › Delete All Data deletes all items (including Health and Medication), attachments, drafts, household profiles, remembered habits, product lookups and the widget's copy from your iPhone, cancels Remi's scheduled reminders, ends household sharing (you leave the household, or, if you created it, all members are removed), and deletes Remi's records from your iCloud. It keeps only what the app or the App Store needs: whether Remi Plus is active, the App Lock setting, your privacy choices (such as product lookup) and the record of when Remi last asked for an App Store rating. Deleting data does not cancel a subscription.
You can also manage Remi's iCloud data in your iPhone's iCloud storage settings. Because we have no server-side copy of your data, we cannot delete or restore your Remi content for you by email.
19. Your choices
You can:
- allow or deny camera and microphone access in iOS Settings;
- turn product lookup on or off in Remi;
- turn notifications on or off and choose how they look;
- mark each item as Only Me or Family;
- leave a household or remove members;
- export your data;
- delete single items or all Remi data.
Applicable law may give you more rights. To ask a privacy question or exercise a right you cannot exercise in the app, write to support@remilife.com.
20. California
We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Remi does not track your activity across other companies' apps or websites, so "Do Not Track" signals do not change how it behaves. California residents can write to support@remilife.com with questions about these practices or their privacy rights. Nothing in this policy limits rights under California law.
21. Canada
For users in Canada, Darya Batura is responsible for our privacy practices. Privacy questions or complaints can be sent to support@remilife.com. You can ask about personal information under our control; because your Remi data stays on your device or in your own iCloud and is not accessible to us, we may point you to the controls in Remi or in iOS. Nothing in this policy limits rights under Canadian federal or provincial privacy law.
22. Europe (GDPR)
The Publisher is established in Poland, so the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to the small amount of personal data we handle ourselves: support emails and website delivery data. For that data, Darya Batura is the controller.
- Legal bases: we answer support emails to respond to your request and provide the service you use (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing support (Art. 6(1)(f)); website delivery and security data is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f)); we keep records where the law requires it (Art. 6(1)(c)).
- Your rights: you can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, data portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Write to support@remilife.com.
- Complaints: you can complain to a data protection authority, in Poland the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO), ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa, or the authority where you live or work.
- Transfers: Cloudflare and Google may process this data outside the European Economic Area, relying on safeguards such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Data that stays on your device or in your own iCloud is not processed by us; you control it with Remi's and Apple's tools.
23. Security
Remi limits what leaves your device. Remi's files on your iPhone are protected by iOS data protection, and iCloud sync uses Apple's CloudKit. No device, software or storage method is completely secure. Please protect your Apple Account, device passcode and the people you give access to.
24. Service providers
- Apple: iOS, iCloud and CloudKit, App Store payments, notifications and on-device technologies.
- Open Food Facts: optional product lookup.
- Cloudflare: hosting of remilife.com and forwarding of support email.
- Google: the mailbox that receives support email.
Each works under its own terms and privacy practices. Remi sends each only what is needed for the feature you use.
25. International processing
These providers may process technical information in countries other than where you live, under their own legal obligations. Your Remi data is never transferred to a server run by us.
26. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when Remi or the law changes. We will change the effective date at the top, and give additional notice of material changes where the law requires.
